HOME - by Yann Arthus-Bertrand

I recently saw this incredible film.  Thanks to ActCity Ottawa for screening it.  This film is a breathtaking view of the Earth like you've never seen before.  Stunning images from 54 countries are shown accompanied by a moving soundtrack and narration by Glenn Close.
It's too late to be a pessimist. -Yann Arthus-Bertrand
I felt even more pessimistic after watching the film.  It shows the effect we homo sapiens have had on the planet in the short time we've been here.  Resource extraction, Peak Oil, industrialization of food and our economy, globalization, commercialization, water, health, population are all issues that are discussed with vivid examples.

The last 20 minutes end on a positive note, with examples of technologies available today if we only had the political will to use them.
