Just finished reading this book about small houses. It describes the lifestyle of living simply, and consuming less. Families tell their stories of how they scale back, and why (usually for financial or ecological reasons). Many nice photos and floorplans!
Very interesting and inspiring! I won't ever build a tiny house, but the principles apply to any house - build only what you need.
Many examples of spaces that are built-upon, or expanded as the need arises. One entire chapter talks about living mortgage-free.
Loved it.
